Brooke Alley, CEO

Hi, welcome—I’m so glad you’re here!!! I’ve been transforming spaces for as long as I can remember; it started with designing and organizing my bedroom as a child and eventually progressed to fine-tuning our home and those of friends and family. From contents and decor to function and flow, I’m passionate about and obsessed with creating spaces that feel good to be in. 16 years ago, I turned this passion into a profession. A strong spatial ability combined with a background in account and project management helped me develop a strategic, efficient and holistic approach to improving living and working environments. I love helping people feel—and function—better in their space through thoughtful curation and display, customized storage and containment solutions, and sustainable systems.

I’m also a seasoned gardener and a lifelong botanical enthusiast; I delight in using my knowledge and experience to help others enhance their spaces with custom plant design. My mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great aunt have all been successful gardeners, talented landscapers and enthusiastic plant stylists; I like to think I’ve inherited some of their creativity and acquired generational plant care knowledge. I grew up among my mother’s thriving house plants and have many indoor plants of my own (some of which are over 30 years old). Plants are part of my personal style and aesthetic—I love the healthy affect plants have on people and enjoy using them to add unique life, dimension and good vibes to any space.

Ashley Morton, Designer & Project Lead

Hello! I’m Ashley, an artist and creative problem solver by nature—few things bring me more satisfaction than creating beautiful, functional solutions to space challenges. From developing customized design boards that capture and reflect our clients’ unique styles, to finding one-of-a-kind pieces that bring a space together perfectly, to working with our amazing contractors to implement a shared vision, I love helping our incredible clients create spaces they feel good in. I specialize in interior design and styling, unique product procurement, and project management.

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, I studied ballet at Chicago Ballet Arts and various summer programs throughout the United States. I moved to Portland, Oregon and joined push/FOLD as a company member in 2019, teaching ballet and performing as an independent artist. One of my favorite aspects of dance is the progression of creating a body of work—receiving choreography instructions and through time, refining the dance, letting go of the parts that aren’t necessary, developing what’s integral and important, and finding the essence of the dance to share with the world. I carry the same mindset in my work with BrightHive, refining designs to illuminate what’s important, meaningful and necessary.
